Frequently
Asked Questions |
Am
I a candidate for the VisionWorks seminars?
VisionWorks
is for anyone who wants to make their life work better. Whether you
are searching for stronger relationships with yourself and others, or
seeking a way to make a difference during your time here on earth, VisionWorks
will happily introduce you to your possibilities and the means for manifesting
your vision. Whether you are searching for the avenue to a successful
career or struggling with relationships, you will acquire tools for
creating joy, vitality and fulfillment. The mainframe seminars are open
to individuals over eighteen. Often students take the seminars when
they are at a crossroads in life–graduating from high school or
college, about to be married or divorced, longing to make a career change
or going through some other rite of passage. Some students are very
clear on what they wish to create in their lives as a result of the
seminars. Others have a vague sense that something is waiting for them.
Some students are functioning very well in their lives, yet know that
there’s more and they’re looking for the tools to improve
their situations and do so exponentially. Some are stuck on the ladder
of life, and are not sure how to move forward. Others are struggling
with destructive habits or addictions. Through commitment, all can succeed
and manifest their dreams by using what they learn in the seminars.
Do
the VisionWorks seminars replace therapy?
VisionWorks
is education, rather than therapy. VisionWorks seeks to sustain a cooperative
relationship with counselors, clinical psychologists, psychiatrists,
and other members of the psychotherapeutic community. Whenever people
undergoing therapy present themselves as candidates for the seminars,
we request that they discuss the matter with the care-giver and create
agreement so that everyone is working together to achieve the highest
good of the student/patient. Since the orientation of the VisionWorks
seminars is to discover solutions, rather than to dwell in the problem,
people often find their therapy is accelerated as a result of the seminars.
As students become more accountable for their wholeness and overall
well-being, they may even decide to suspend therapy or even to close
this avenue of their lives. We always encourage healthy, mutually agreeable
completion, with the therapist’s support.
Will
VisionWorks compete with or in any way invalidate my religious beliefs?
As with
all responsible education, VisionWorks aims to enhance everything in
your life. By adding to your body of knowledge, and by increasing your
sense of wholeness, you will find all areas of your life magnified.
Through deepened commitment and heightened awareness, you will likely
to become a more devoted member of your religious community and more
genuinely engaged in your spiritual life.
Does
VisionWorks threaten my significant relationships in any way?
VisionWorks
stands for the health and continuity of relationships, particularly
those with family members, including spouses, children, parents, siblings
and extended family. VisionWorks encourages active engagement in the
healing and growth of these relationships throughout each seminar. Although
growth always means change, and some people feel threatened when their
loved ones grow, we urge students to include their family members in
their growth and keep them informed. We have found that relationships
with others as well as with oneself benefit hugely from honesty and
unconditional love. We support the healing and growth of all relationships
except in situations where lives are endangered by dysfunction. We also
encourage the enhancement of relationships with co-workers, neighbors,
and other community members.
